The Janet Cane Fisher '38 Fund
We understand that life is unpredictable. Unplanned and unexpected costs can cause significant stress and impact academic success and personal well-being. ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ College has the Janet Cane Fisher ’38 Fund to provide emergency aid for currently enrolled ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ students.
Emergency aid funding assists ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ students by providing financial support when assistance is needed with unexpected, unavoidable, and unplanned expenses surrounding situations such as accidents, illness, fire/water damage, or a need for emergency housing and food.
Possible expenses that can be considered for emergency aid assistance include:
- Food security
- Emergency medical/dental costs
- Emergency/temporary housing and living expenses
- Family emergencies
- Natural disasters

Expenses not covered:
- Tuition, student fees, and study-abroad costs
- Technology
- Regular anticipated fixed expenses
- Parking tickets
- Non-emergency travel
- Other non-essential or anticipated expenses
Students may only receive funding once per semester.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ College.
- Students are only eligible to receive funding during the semester they apply, so they must be currently enrolled in coursework when completing the application.
- Applicants must have a FAFSA on file for the current academic year.
- Applicants must provide documentation reflecting their financial emergency.
