Is it too late to register to vote?
Voter registration deadlines vary by state. You can use this link and click on your
state to see when the deadlines are. As a ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ student you are eligible to vote
in either your home state or in Maryland with your ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ address. Maryland has same
day voter registration which means you can register to vote when you go to vote during
Early Voting or on Election Day.
Can you register to vote online?
Most states offer an online registration form, but not all. ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ to find out if you can register to vote online for your state.
Does registering to vote affect my federal student-aid?
No, where you register to vote (home state vs. campus address) will not affect your
federal financial aid in any way.
Does registering to vote affect my status as a dependent on my parents’ taxes?
Being registered to vote at a different address from your parents does not prevent
them from claiming you as a dependent on their taxes.
Does ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷ provide a ride to the polls on Election Day if I’m registering to vote with my campus address?
Yes, ¶¶êŽÉñÆ÷will provide transportation to the voting site for you. Email
